The light yellow counties around the Dallas Ft.
Worth areas are blank because they are mixed buffer areas that no one tribe
ever really claimed. The Wichita, Comanche,
Caddo, Cherokee and other
smaller tribes all lived in and passed through this area. The Kiowa roamed
over most of the Comanche territory. The shared area on the map is the core/homeland
region of the Kiowa.
